DavidFoy It was the club that started after Bromsgrove Rovers was wound up after several years of financial shenanigans. Sporting took over The Victoria Road ground and reentered the leagues somewhat lower down where they were. You still see people in the crowd wearing the old kit.
It's worked out that after a few promotions they're in the same league as nearby Redditch United and Worcester City - both local derbies where theres almost guaranteed fisticuffs between locals. All the towns are only 10 miles apart but Redditch people are all crack heads and the Worcester lot fuck sheep (true story).
My only gripe is that the matchday catering has been taken over by a boutique burger business and it's £17 for their cheapest burger and chips. The beers kept ok and fairly cheap for the area.
