Posted this before but Christmas 79 I got a tape recorder and along with a load of blank tapes, Rock n Roller Disco. Incidentally I've still got the tapes, loads of pissing about on Christmas Day and saying 'Is it on?' Voices of my grandad, mum and dad and in the following days me and my mate doing crap impressions, one of which is Ron Greenwood.

Rock n Roller Disco was this bizarre mish mash of the great and the odd. Disco, reggae and post punk. Kicking off with The Gibson Brothers and finishing weirdly with Death Disco by PIL. Always thought it was odd that there were two tracks by Dollar - two too many eh? Eh?

Anyway, this little number appears two thirds of the way through. Good set of lads the Sparks boys and a snorter of a track ⏰

Sparks are one of those artists, like Roxy Music, Bjork and Kate Bush, whose songs could come out at any time and still sound out of kilter. I don’t possess any Sparks music, but they always make me smile when I hear them. Still remember chatting with my mates at school about them when they did ‘This Town…’ on TOTP all that time ago. Wacky stuff.
