Been twice. Great food + wine there.
Oveas Negras + Mechela were two fine places to eat !!

Apart from the obvious great sights in the central area I would recommend just walking around the narrow streets and picking off tapas and pinchos and a drink in one of the hundreds of street corner bars.
Area we liked to do this was called Alfalfa, located Northish between the centre/Alcazar and El Rinconcillo tapas bar .

Placa de Hercules is a good street for nightlife. Quite studenty. There was a Blue note, type jazz bar there, last time I visited + a good place to eat called Duo Tapas.

Yeah, think it’s Espacio Eslava on Hércules that we liked. Basically any tapas place away from the cathedral. Around Plaza Del Salvador’s good.
Go on a boat trip. And yeah do see Betis if you can, brilliant club.
It’ll be piggin’ hot, but plenty of shade in the city.

I went a few years ago my lad was about 6 months.

Loved it but quite frankly we’d barely left the house and anywhere would have been ace.

I looked at our favourites to visit on an old Google map and it won’t be much use to you. 65 tapas places marked. I bet we went to 2.

Also tucked up in bed early with the baby at the time.

The gardens were lovely, great tapas O am sure you’ll get the vibe.

Got back late Sunday. No pics as I'm a bit heavier than I'd like to be at the moment!

It's a great place, but Thursday and Friday were both 42 degrees. Too hot for me, though Saturday was much more comfortable.

Did most of the sites and caned our hotel rooftop bar/pool.

Crossed over the river, into the more working class Triana area and did a couple of the food markets.

Cold red wine - what's that about? Their main beer is Cruzcampo and is served ice cold.

Triana food market:

Mercado Lonja del Barranco - guy at the bar with his hand on his hip... We were sat there on Saturday afternoon and got asked to join a large table of Portugese + Americans. It got a bit messy:

Had tenderloin one night at a restaurant called Bacao - really nice food + wine:
