I watched the climax to the Premier League last Sunday and in retrospect wonder why. Whatever the results, it was going to depressing. Can't remember missing a CL/European Cup final going back over thirty years but just can't bring myself to watch this one

I may or may not watch it, but I do hope Chelsea win, this was capped by the beautiful irony of a middleton lad bleating at work the other day about Chelsea buying their way to things.

I've had some success winding him up this week, unfortunately i have to rely on Liverpool's excellence of the past to counter hm but it's worth it. My arguement takes the line that Liverpool dominated football when it was a sport, whereas Man Utd the biggest brand quite naturally dominate football now it's a business and an uncompetitive two team league.

We play football every Wednesday night, have done for ever. Last week the lad who organises it asked everyone if they were going to turn up on the night of the final..! I'm confident we'll do better than having 5-a-side.. It's another Man u v Chelsea game, it just happens to be taking place in Moscow.

I hope it's an exciting fast game, 3 sent off from both sides and a few broken limbs and legs from both sides. In fact enough sent off to make the game void and the team that would have been 3rd wins by default.

Whilst I find the group stages boring, I don t think we can moan about Liverpool s opponents last night; apparently they gave Liverpool a game and won the Danish league.
When we were in the EC 69/70 we beat SK Lyn Oslo 10-0 at home and 6-0 away.
