Why?
This isn’t new, it’s been happen for years.
He knows better than anyone Ian’s issues, health and drink wise. He’s happy enough to continue touring when there have been so many instances of gigs falling apart because of Ian’s issues. He’s happy to take your £50 and keep his fingers crossed they get through the night and onto the next show.
He comes across as a great guy in interviews and videos and I think he probably is but any sympathy I have is for the fans who’ve shelled out for tickets, travelled, looked forward to a good night out and been let down (again).
It’s very sad and they can be brilliant but Ian’s not up to it anymore. He’s got to be 65, he’s got a lot of hard miles under his belt and they’ve booked a 40+ concert tour of the UK, US and a few shows in South America. I’m amazed they’ve been able to get insurance.
