Rudi As much as I love(d) them, does the world need another Smiths compilation? There must be more compilations than proper albums now.
old_codger It's the 'remastered' bit I suppose they're trying to exploit. And the second limited edition stuff, at least it's got an edge over normal hits collections etc. Someone told me they're reforming, for one gig, anyone hear owt about it?
Loose_Lips I thought Morrissey always hated the way the back catalogue had been managed and he really wanted himself and Marr to agree on something together. But yes, got to be twice the number of 'real' albums.

LUFC442 Another thing I bought myself for Christmas! Just started playing side 1 in the car and the remastering makes the songs sound really fresh (or is it just my imagination...). I think there's some computer compatible content on CD2 but I haven't explored it yet. The booklet has some great pictures of gladioli era Moz. Overall worth the $ IMHO. Read somewhere that Warner were due to release yet another Smiths hits album in time for Christmas which upset Morrissey so he pre-empted it by teaming up with Marr to release this compilation on Rhino Records. New Moz album is out February 16th.

Flaneur Quiz Question for you... Apart from Johnny Marr playing on the Billie Ellish (Bond Theme) number 1, which other Smiths member played on a UK number 1 hit? Go...
CBIT Flaneur I guessed who - just on the basis he was in other groups before he (sort of) came on board
Flaneur CBIT The thing is, I'm not fully sure he played on that number 1? The song got to number 1 after a reissue with a tie-in to a TV commercial. Do you know if he did?
