That's my go-to pint in the local. Barman described it as a cooking bitter. I didn't think he was being kind.He probably drank Coors.

Quite fancy 'Kings Tempest' in the 2.20 at Wetherby today. Looking strong but at 5/2 don't know if I can be arsed to take the risk.

Can anyone confirm that the ideal anuller gap on the mount of a Weber twin choke 40 carb is 40 thousands of an inch? I've found that less than this you get fuel oscillation.

I think Cov. will do a number on Oxford tomorrow and get relegated.

These days I generally drink domestic brews especially Yuengling, which is produced down the road from here in Pottsville, Pennsylvania. But yesterday, on a whim, I picked up some Murphy's, which I used to enjoy in the UK, and my taste buds immediately recalled how a smooth, uncomplicated stout should be. "Craft" brewing over here increasingly includes taking a perfectly good traditional beer type and fucking around with it by adding all kinds of ridiculous flavours. Curry pumpkin hazelnut IPA anyone?

Jagermeisters with a good pal of mine this afty in O'Hara's down by the Freedom Tower. Can't beat afternoon drinking when it's pissing it down and cold outside and the rest of the world is working. Even his Guinness looked inviting and Guinness hasn't looked inviting to me for years. Feeling it now and headed to bed. 24 hour shift coming up tomorrow.
