There's this idea in some eastern religion or belief that you are born into a life with an amount of weight that you can bear, and no matter the shit that it throws at you, you need to remember that, bear it and go through it.

I've seen Jordan Peterson say that the secret to a good life is seek out the heaviest weight (figurative) that you can bear and carry it.

I think that Vini Reilly was born with too much talent and could never fully bear it, or at least never fully express it or realise it or present it in a readily consumable entity.
