Transfer Rumours/Signed

Yossarian

the worlds gone mad! signing after signing after signing after signing where will it end... none of em massively exciting though to my mind (Austin maybe, solely on the basis he's unheard of in the UK!)

But does this mean that this takeover has reached some sort of end game...

MickMcCann wroteSo who is the fourth player we've signed today?

I posted their names - well half of them - a few posts above.

Cheers Codge, must have been while I was typing.

What? You haven't got a secretary yet? Fucking peasant!

Oe played for palace in a time long, long ago - although my memory dims and isn't the other part of the success that is Pompy?

Not that it matters, you just keep the faith - Ken loves you for it.

Luke Varney? I've been hoping for Reg all summer. Ar Olive'll kill me!

Foxy_Dread

Luke Varney looked a cracking player at Blackpool, and it was only two years or so ago. Not every player who plays for a relegated side deserves to be tainted by it, there are some who do their bit.

king_of_the_slums

Varney, Grey, Ashton and Austin, no?

Chasing Nicky Maynard now if the tweets are to be believed.

I wonder where Snoddy's head's at right now?

Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Warnock said, "I have been after Luke for about seven years now on and off. I have spoken to him a number of times at different clubs but have never quite managed to sign him. "He is an unpredictable type of player and the fans like him and I think there are goals in him. "I will be setting him a target; I would like to think he can score between 8 and 10 goals next season."

Big_Society

Even I would applaud the signing of Maynard...

Presumably he's not first choice then.

Magic our Maurice. Maynard, Varney, Paynter, we're turning into a right bunch of comedians. We'll be a laughing stock.

Neil, why not just say nine, you want Varney to score nine? :P

Not sure if I'm being dim or people are just deliberately picking fault, but Varney isn't a centre forward is he? He plays out wide mainly.

Wiki says he was moved off the wing to play up front in a 442 and scored three in three then two in one game at home soon after.

Mokhtar_Dahari_Forever

Do you think Warnock knew of a possible takeover when he joined us?

old_codger

Yes, I do Mok.

Raposa

Warnob saying he wants another 8 in!!

Seems his policy is quantity rather than quality!

onandoff

Top advice BS heheh. But turns out Adele Hall's out of the country in October so it's a no go. Got this direct from her agent.
