from the bbc
1321: Speculation that Jermaine Beckford has been spotted at 27 grounds in England today appear wide of the mark. We reckon he's unlikely to go anywhere today, unless one of the Premier League's early strugglers panics big time and decides to spend about £4m on a guy out of contract next summer. Unlikely.
If I was struggling for goals in the Prem League I'd gamble £4m on him. Wouldn't you?

1342: I hope you're not getting worried at a lack of action. Remember: whatever doesn't happen now will happen later. Just make sure you're still here when the world of football goes mental. Because it will.

Because chances come far and few between in the prem, Beckford's been wasting too much for us. Struggling Premier league clubs cant afford those wastes. I think the likes of Bolton are seriously eying scott mcdonald of celtic.

sheehan's left, one month loan deal to oldham. If Grayson thinks Andy Hughes is abetter left back than sheehan, then we've gotto trust him.
I_luv_white
wHAT HAPPENED TO HEFFERNAN AND HOTLIPS HOOLIHAN?CAN WE STILL ACTIVATE ANY LOAN DEALS AFTER THE WINDOW CLOSES?
Mokhtar_Dahari_Forever
heffernan was a joke. his wikipedia page even had things like Drogba saying he'd love to cut wages to play for chelsea, and that doncaster wants joe cole to replace him but joe cole wants to come to leeds. fucking mental.the loan market isn't off for another two weeks, is it? we've got a former san jose earthquakes striker, from south africa, our fourth south african player.
Raposa
and relax...........beckford stays!!who's this south african geezer?
zico
Happy with that.Rumour on the other board is that Carl Dickinson will be coming on loan from Stoke. (makes sense with Sheehan going to Oldham)With that defence and the new keeper (Higgs) ....plus B+B upfront with Grella, Shommuni + the new lad in the wings..........it might, just might be our year.
Matt_the_Bat
Get Dickinson in and we're laughingMind you I said that when Michalik came back

Sam Vokes rumoured to be joining in a 3 month loan deal prior to Monday's game.Wolves striker, Welsh international.Looks like Grayson doesn't rate his reserve strikers and I'd have to agree with that. Know nothing about Vokes though.

Darius Vassell?
The former England striker Darius Vassell has been evicted from his Ankara hotel after his club Ankaragucu failed to pay the bill. The 29-year-old was heralded as a landmark signing – and given a hero's welcome – when joining the Turkish club in the summer following the end of his contract with Manchester City.Vassell has scored twice in seven games for Ankaragucu, but has since voiced concerns over the club's financial problems following a recent change in ownership.According to Vassell, players' wages have frequently been paid late, training has been cancelled and the player has been thrown out of his hotel room."I don't know what's happening," he said on Sky Sports News. "I have been told today that I have to leave the hotel. I have asked the managers did I do something wrong? The hotel manager said 'no you didn't do anything wrong' but they had a meeting today with the club and now I must leave the hotel."I don't really know what to do, I have not spoken to anybody yet."I have all my bags packed. My heart tells me to stay here and play football for the fans but my bags are all packed and I wonder sometimes whether I should go back home. But tomorrow I hope somebody will explain to me what is happening and we can resolve the situation."I'm not sure [if I will return to England]. It's difficult. First of all I don't speak the language so I can't hear anything that's happening."He added: "Today there was a problem, there was no training today and there was different communications. Some people thought there was training, some people thought there wasn't."I know there has been a change of ownership and perhaps that is part of the problem. Until everybody is organised and everyone is settled down perhaps it will be like this."My heart tells me I must stay here and play here. The fans made a big deal for me to come here and play and I can't abandon them now because I love football and I love playing football here in Turkey and I am sure my future is here."Vassell played 22 times for England, scoring six goals, in a career that began at Aston Villa in 1998.
