Transfer Rumours/Signed

Leeds United manager Dave Hockaday says increasing his central defensive options is a priority as the new season approaches.

The Championship side have sold Tom Lees to Sheffield Wednesday and backed out of a possible deal for Chesterfield's Liam Cooper because of the asking price.

Hockaday tells BBC Radio Leeds: "We have two senior centre-backs at the moment, so we're looking to strengthen. Tom is Leeds through and through, but he needed a fresh start."

Backed out of a deal for Liam Cooper on price grounds. We must be saving our warchest for someone really special. I won't be able to sleep tonight for wondering who. Did Massimo or Hockaday go to Brazil scouting?

Plod have already agreed to pay back £1.2 million, and now Leeds are after another £800k. Ken will be sniffing around....

I don't think it's that they couldn't afford him, more he isn't worth what was being asked for him. Ridsdale'd have bought him though.

Now linked with the Brazilian Adryan from Cagliari. He's some talent this fella, attacking midfielder/striker/winger.

£6m apparently, I'll believe it when I see it. Atletico Madrid in for him too.
