Transfer Rumours/Signed

onandoff

Never seen so many pacey attacking midfielders / wingers signed all at once for us - and that was what was lacking. Nobody sold - pity about Bartley but whatchyagonnado? Youngsters' contracts extended. The way this is going I expect one or two solid defenders to be signed in the coming week too. It seems the corner is turned at last. Fair enough if Monk didn't fancy being told what players would be coming but this new approach might well be better. it looks alright on YouTube anyway! It must be the best summer we've had in 15 years. And its early doors but I like the look of the new manager too. Pre-nosebleed!

I just love the fact that stuff is happening, no song and dance, no noise, just shit gets done. No bleating from the Supporters Club for change, we live in strange times...

Reggie_Perrin

Talk of Caulker from QPR. 3 weeks after his admission of suicidal thoughts, booze and gambling problems.

Matthew Pennington, season long loan from Everton. No option to buy unfortunately. Anyone heard of him?

No. Presumably centre-halves to buy are in short supply? Don't really want another Bartley scenario, do we?

I read that he is quite good. but not very quick.

Mega_Armageddon_Chickens

Silvestri nearly out if you believe some, meanwhile Green out if you believe that man on Talksport who worships him.

And that Goalkeeper with the long name is no longer going on loan at one of my least favourite teams, Oldham Athletic.

This must the most goalkeeper action ever.

Goalkeeper Marco Silvestri has today completed a permanent move to Hellas Verona

He goes straight into the development team, he's a Pep signing, worked on it for a year before he left, from his connections at Espanyol. What a guy Pep was..

We also signed Alex Machuca in the same deal..

Let's hope they announce the lad from Liverpool, I guess Bristol City want silly money for their lad hence us going for Pennington loan.

Been happy with the business this year, let's hope they gel into a unit and smash this pub league, dare we dream?

Mitaman

I think with such wholesale squad changes, it is unlikely that we will get a bright start unless we get very very lucky. It takes time for a tea to gel, no matter who the manager.

Reggie_Perrin

I still have this nagging doubt that we may just have brought in a load of shit from the 2nd divisions of Europe and the manager is also a huge gamble from a fuck all league. Hope we haven't been blinded by YouTube show reels and NewsNow hyperbole.

Yes, I have more than passing doubts about it all I have to say. After so many years in the shit, it will take an elephantine effort to drag us out of it.

Raposa

Everything's a gamble these days.
Boro paid 12m for Rhodes last year and he did jack shit for them.
Equally they've just gambled 14m on that crock Assombalonga from Forest.

Our gamble's are just less costly it seems.

We've brought in 11 players so you'd hope by the law of averages at least 3 or 4 are decent.

If all else fails we've always got Kalvin Phillips!!

king_of_the_slums

Big test tonight let's see how we get on.

Sounds like we should have pissed it.

We aren't bothered though really are we. Be nice to get some money in with a promotion but I'd rather see us pluck a Macedonian from the Tyrolean Mountain League 2 than pay £30m for some coke headed minge hound from West Brom. I'm happy with what we are.

Agree but very cautious about all the new signings. I wonder what the background is of the agents involved. Whos money are we spending, Radrizanni or some murky Chinese Corp? Wither way like Bolton have found out and as have we there is always, always a balancing of the books at some point.
