Transfer Rumours/Signed

king_of_the_slums

Raposa no sure on when it drops, but it's 170m I believe

Mitaman

I think its like 100m +++ add ons and appearance money that leads towards 150-170m?

doggybag

Rumour mill has it Leeds are going for the Argentinian CB Juan Foyth. Apparently he conceded two penalties on his debut for Spurs. Didn't Woodgate do something silly like that when he debuted for Real?

Mike_Jones

I think Woodgate conceded a penalty, scored, and got sent off! Did it proper. May be wrong about the scoring.

SardineTree

Mike_Jones

Don't think he scored for Real but the one he got for Bilbao was a cracker!

Mike_Jones

Yes indeed, a snorter of an own goal - https://www.planetfootball.com/nostalgia/remembering-jonathan-woodgates-calamitous-real-madrid-debut/

And then he got sent off!!!

zico

Brighton have just signed Joel Veltman from Ajax, he s 28 and can play right back or centre back.
Less first team opportunities for Ben White.

white_dragon

I've no doubt that Brighton will sell White . It's down to who our opponents are , what wage structure we will of planned and transfer kitty. Can't imagine we are going to pay much more than 30k a week in our first season in the prem . Not that I know much about the wages atm.

heyho

You can see a Liverpool or Tottenham or another top 6 established club coming in for White at more money than us and Brighton saying ker ching thank you very much, money is in the bank. No good for White as he will get limited first team opportunity. A year of his career wasted.

Some players wouldnt mind that as they have the prestige of a top club to their CV and a good wage but I would hope WHite actually wants to play football.

Bod

Ake from Bournemouth going to City, 40 mill bid accepted 😳

Mike_Jones

Bod Excellent! That's fucking great, someone should buy that spud from Villa, Mings. White must be worth 75 mill if that's the state of the market.

king_of_the_slums

Seems like silly prices for domestic based players, or maybe this is what it feels like to get bang up for 16 years and then get released and then you buy your first pint, "how much?"

Wonder if we'll get the lad from QPR in the end?

cordshoes

king_of_the_slums maybe this is what it feels like to get bang up for 16 years and then get released and then you buy your first pint, “how much?”

Funny analogy that?:

Placid

Delph amd Rose apprently according to Star 🤣😳🤔💙💛🤍

Mike_Jones

Placid Silly sods!

90Piesanhour

Hopefully Brighton buying a defender means they are ready to negotiate on White. If a 'sensible' price can be agreed, it would be one of the best buys Leeds have made since Rio. I reckon Ben could be the new Bobby Moore, I think he's that good.

Placid

So far:

Edinson Cavani (PSG)
Danny Rose (Everton)
Fabian Delph (Everton)
Bright - Osay Samuel (QPR)
Ebre Eze (QPR)
Ben White (Brighton)
Harry Wilson (Liverpool)
Florentino Luis (Benfica)
Sean Kleiber (Uterecht)
Luis Martinas Quarta (River Plate)
Christhian Stuani (Girona)
Jonathan David (KAA Gent)
Sergio Romero (Man U)
Ben Rama (Brentford)
Juan Foyth (Spurs)
Charlie Allen (Linfield)

Madness

Mitaman

Placid Have any of them got the buttocks of Augustin? I think thats all we need for next season to be honest.

Bod

Placid
Samuel was going to Bruges for 4.5 mill but failed the medical, Eze, Wilson, White, Kleiber, David are all pretty strong possibilities and would make great additions. The rest no chance

Mike_Jones

No way Bielsa (or the club) would want Delph or Rose, too old (and stroppy in Rose's case). Ben White, David, and Thiago Almada, the new next Messi, that'll do for me - that'll be 100 million, thank you. We're going for the set, new Messi to go with our last new Maradona - at least we got the original Bielsa!

Placid Ben Rama (Brentford)

Like it - alright Ben!

Bod

Mitaman
Its never really been mentioned Augustin, Leeds still have an obligation to buy, so thats still in the pipeline unless they can get out of it through a technicality. I've read they may state that his loan ended before Leeds were promoted, so were not in the premiership 😉

Placid

Bod Id be well happy with them. Charlie Allen looking like most likely at this point. No idea who he is

Orta earning his keep

Mitaman

Bod I read this week that Leeds are going to court to try and get out of buying him. The contract is worth 20m, so if he's a bum steer, we would be advised to try and tear-up the contract.
