Something I read attributed a comment to Bielsa's brother that said Bielsa won't be looking to quit football management whilst he is physically and mentally fit enough to do it. That offers us some hope.

Bielsa will also feel some responsibility to his staff, though his principles would take precedence if there was a decision to be made.

My wish is for Corberan to do well at Huddersfield for a couple of seasons in the mould of Bielsa (they had 72% possession at Rotherham on Saturday - no cutting edge at the moment) and if at that point Bielsa felt ready for a rest Corberan inherits his whole team. I dream too much.

There,s some whittlers on here, this is only the 4th main team signing, as I've said before, no signings and you're going to end up like Norwich and WBA yo yoing between leagues and losing players. This is the Prem you have to invest to survive. These are well planned out transfers not like Villa did changing the whole team

Whoever we get next, if AR is still at the wheel, I don’t see a radical departure from Bielsa’s style.

Jon the hudders fans say he has a tough job to do with the squad he has inherited. But they are now starting to dominate possession and murderball has been introduced. Also Bielsa went along to their last home game for a little nosey, so at least everything is still amicable. Not that you would expect otherwise with MB.

Some contributors on here once suggested that maybe Poch could be talked into being Marcelo Bielsa's (may his name be forever spoken with deference) assistant and slip on the head coach job at a moment to be agreed. I liked that idea. But rumble has it the basket cases at Manchester (which one?) United are sharpening the chopper for the baby faced assassin and lining up Poch to clean up the mess. We shall see.

doggybag can't imagine who would want that job? Nothing you do would be good enough and you wouldn't be doing it quickly enough whatever it was you were doing.

I have voiced my disquiet before at the amount of money being spunked on buying players. If Orta is actually backing these deals up with cash and not credit, like Ridsdale, then we might be okay, but really, we do have a bit of form in this regard.

Harvest But ‘they’ are all long gone. This new club we have have no experience of bankruptcy. We have smart qualified people at the helm, not some stockings salesman. Which, when you sand it all down, is ultimately what Ridsdale was.

Its not the big gamble it was back then . Theres so much prize money in the prem now , a top half finish will cover it , comfortable.

CBIT plus we bought virtually a whole team of very good 18 to 20 year olds on top of Shack, Gotts, Davis, Poveda, Stevens, Casey, Struijk, Cresswell etc so we shouldn't have to blow too much more any time soon you'd hope.
