Foxy_Dread well yes but if we are made to pay then what do we get in return? If we are fined yes that's clear but if we are made to fulfil a contract there has to be consideration on the other side of the contract. One for our lawyers to get into I suspect.

Should Leipzig have transfered him to Nantes before this was concluded, if they had a contract with Leeds for the sale. I think Leeds will get a fine, not the actual transfer fee

Bod Yes it's got to be considered because he was deemed valueless in that transfer, you could argue his fitness rendered him similar when our agreement with Leipzig was in place / ended. When he moved on a free he will have benefited in higher wages too. So yes Leeds tried to get out if a deal on a technicality but equally Leipzig could be accused of offloading damaged goods. Also Big Kev is happy and getting paid.

Lastly, technicalities matter when it comes to contracts.

Lucky we never took him on, he's hardly played for Nantes, 3 games, he has a poor attitude and doesn't like training, he wasn't playing for a period last season because of this. Bielsa saw this when he was at Leeds, hence that is why he was shipped back

Reggie_Perrin cannot be true, the agreements would be worth nothing. We say to Big kev we will pay you minimum wage and the transfer breaks down. Why did we pull the stunt?

Say we had a 5m agreement with Brighton for Ben White, we offer him 40k a week Brighton offer him 60k a week, he stays with them and they sell him in for 25m.
