Talk of Geovanni, released by Hull yesterday.
Reggie_Perrin
Rumours of us being after Scott Sinclair and Barnsley being after Robert Koren. I would love to sign both of those.

Collins signed.

Another mighty fee paid by Kenbo. Saying that, it's a very good if not earth shattering signing.Probably a very good example of Grayson's "try before you buy".

l.q.navarro.
I'd be making enquiries of the young under 21 lad who's just left Everton. They'll be no fee involved. Gosling I think .

Rob Hulse was a target I believe, as was caleb Folan.. Gary hooper was set to sign for boro but thats fallen thru, I think he's back in the frame for Celtic.

Grayson on Collins.Another signing done, Neill Collins, someone we know very well…Yeah. I'm delighted we've signed him. I thought he did well for us last year and there was obviously a big intention when Neill came last year to see how well he would do and when he came available in the summer then we thought we'd move on it. He's a good age, he's got some good experience of playing in the Championship. He's a leader type as well. We saw last year, he's aggressive and wants to defend properly and I'm sure the longer he is here, he'll get more comfortable and feel even better about the situation. Really delighted we have got him.And he has never hidden his desire to return here, has he?No, I think he's like a lot of players. A lot of players would like to sign for Leeds United because of what we can offer them basically. But once you've been to the training ground and sampled playing in a good team in front of a full house and a fantastic fanbase then players want to come back after they have been there. Delighted he has agreed to sign for us, he turned down another Championship team to come to us and that shows what we're capable of doing at our club. With Paddy out for the foreseeable future, it was important you got in another centre-back…Yeah, I think that was the main area of the pitch that we needed strengthening at this moment in time. We're still probably a bit short in certain areas still and we're looking to sign another couple of players. After getting the four in that we've got already then it was vital that we got the next stage of our squad together and Neill fitted straight into it.Inevitably, you're now looking for further enforcements further up the field would you say?Well you can't go much further back because we've got the goalkeepers in. We're looking all the time to strengthen all the time. We're ongoing with negotiations with one or two players and hopefully we'll be able to see them through quickly.

Now known Donny directors paid for Sharp's fee out of their own pocket, leaving the manager's transfer fund intact.

Don't know mate, I was hoping Hooper but it looks like we can't or won't pay the fee. He could still come in January or at the end of the season of course, he'll be out of contract. I'd be disappointed if it was Hulse, you should never go back. But, he's a great pal of Mrs Bates and he'd be cheap by comparison so he may be a fall back. I'm hoping if Hooper doesn't come that Grayson has some young pacy striker we've not thought of lined up, but fear an old warhorse. From his interviews, Grayson doesn't seem to be overly bothered about a striker, perhaps Somma and Paynter are up To the job? I'd doubt Grella or Becchio are. We need another centre half, two central midfielders, one defensive, one offensive and creative. I'd imagine his pot of cash is very small but maybe we'll all be surprised.

Not forgetting the Samba Seven who haven't arrived yet of course. :D

I could be wrong, but it's looking more likely than we're after a loaner. Not sure if the link today to Scott Sinclair is permanent or loan. The worry is ( a discussion we've had before) is a lack of pace up front.I really thought with Boro bottling out, Hooper was looking to us - but Celtic are apparently in the frame, and I'm sure big wages make up for less than 10 decent games per year....Edited to say our last Brazilian was a fucking raging success.....Maybe son of Mirandinha is included?

Time to have a look at Marcus 'Tulio' Tanaka..?Said he wants to play in Europe this week, only played in Japan, strong and scores goals, like a Sony version of Weatherall.. Come on Bates it's time to forget about what they did to you in Tenko - it's time to sign some Nihonjin's!!!
Smutty_Lips
I'd not worry if we go with Becchio, he's a decent team player.I still think Grella might be a decent player but not at Leeds, it's the time to ship him out for his and our benefit, if you can't trust him in league1, how can you throw him into the mix now.

That's possible, if you think he'll get more time on the ball etc. If I could see Grayson giving him a chance I'd say lets wait and see, but i doubt he'll get much opportunity and if that's going to be the case let him go for his benefit as much as anyones.
