Kevin_Stapleton Mega_Armageddon_Chickens We were stung by the same situation. There was an arrangement to sign Harrison for £8m before the end of that season, the extended season meant we missed the cut off and had to fork out £11m the season after. Obvs. we wouldn’t sign until promotion was assured. Presumably these aren’t the only cases so precedent might be on our side.
Chopper_Read Will be interesting to see what the excuses are seeing as the teams around us have bought and we haven't and we have a lot of injuries. There will only be the people at the top to blame if the worst happens. At least the Toffees getting Fat Frank will help us out!
Reggie_Perrin If they wanted O'Brien and I think they certainly have done in the past, they only had to meet the £10m release fee and talk wages.
Bod It all stops at Bielsa, if Orta has a list of players who he thinks Leeds need, and Bielsa says no then that's it. Should he be more flexible?
white_dragon Underwhelming transfer window. If we stay up , it's all fine . Bamford back soon and fit till May, is crucial for me.
Raposa On a positive note, Summerville didn’t go. Its worrying given the business done by those in and around us but the strategy seems to be to utilise the U23 pool which we top up every summer. Only time will tell although we do look particularly light up front.
king_of_the_slums Wouldn't be Leeds if we brought in a couple of big-names and started pissing the league, I'm happy with the way we've gone about our business and not sold anyone. A good team talk to those still here, let them know how special they are. Then et them all fired up to run through walls again, starting with a drubbing of scum.. .
oneallanclarke Crucial Japan-Saudi Arabia World Cup qualifier this evening. Japan winning 1-0 at HT through a goal by Minamino
king_of_the_slums oneallanclarke Playing well, surprised he doesn't come up again at the end of the season.
Foxy_Dread This quiet window puts us in a good place for the next one, proper targeted business, when prices are more realistic.
Bod Got to sell some players as well now, Klich, Ayling,Cooper it's no use being sentimental and loyal to these players, got to move on. Get better players in to replace them, but I doubt Bielsa will go with my vision
heyho Bod do you not think there is room for them as squad/cover players given we only have a small squad anyway I think we have seen better of Klick recently as he has played a little further forward.
Bod heyho I just fear that Bielsa will always play them, he's just too loyal sometimes. These players are past their peak now, and it all becomes too comfortable for them in the team
white_dragon Probably inevitable we are going to part with Raphina for big money. So we'll have plenty of cash to spend in the summer.
