Unless we get turned over big time in those first 5 games I think you're looking on the ultra bleak side, even for you Gore :P Obviously I'm hoping it won't be a matter for conversation and we do well this season, starting with those first few games. I think a lot depends on Bates still being in charge - I genuinely think he wants to stick with Grayson and is not expecting promotion to the Prem, cos if he was then I think we'd have seen some bigger transfer fees being spent. Still, it might happen yet.

It surprised me when I realised that we were the 'form' team over the last six games, we finished better than anyone winning five of them.I know we were playing the weaker teams and just before that we'd struggled, but it still surpised me.I suspect he's thinking that the team and squad are going to be better suited to Championship football - the cup games might have led him to that conclusion, and he's not as worried as the supporters.
