I think the lightweight put down is a cheap and easy one to use. The be all and end all is can they look after the ball. Aaronson is the exception, never have I seen a player on his arse so much without getting a free kick.

Foxy_Dread They doubled up on him when they realised that although he was a threat and they could nullify him quite easily. He did put on poundage for last season which made him more difficult to knock off the ball, but the seasons prior he was definitely not ready. I agree with your stance on Aaaraanssson - like a mutant weeble that lost the 'not falling down' gene.

Be interesting to see how Summerville does. I’m a poor judge of a footballer’s abilities and how they might perform in different leagues.
I thought he’d been found out a bit towards the end of the season. If a defence could push him out wide and stop him cutting in he seemed much less effective.
Still, 20 odd goals is a lot to make up.

They doubled up on him when they realised they didn't fancy leaving him 1 v 1. He struggled against two men placed to stop him, most would. The alternative is to take two men on and for everyone to accept you are going to lose the ball quite a lot.

The whole of the attack struggled because the team and Farke's tactics had been rumbled. There was no sophistication and if you stayed solid we struggled.

Foxy_Dread The fact that opposing teams doubled up should've have left a spare man in our attack. It rarely did and with two in midfield and Summerville's inexperience and head down style meant we weren't able to exploit that hole.

What if they just squeezed up a little bit, leaving the space on the other touchline? Wouldn't really be a gaping hole would there.

I have no opinion one way or the other. As I said, I’ve come to realise unless it’s someone like Ben White I’m really not a good judge of a lower league players ability compared to the PL.

Jon I don't think he's amazing, I just think it's unfair not to acknowledge the difficulty of playing against two men in a compacted defence.

I think he will be steady, making some good contributions without tearing it up. It all depends what sort of situations you get him on the ball.

Not PL standard and I’d say the general consensus from both Leeds and Wolves fans is exactly that.

Raphinha had to wait a full month to start a game, it was November before he started, he signed late September I think.

Bielsas had to wait a month until he felt he could justify dropping Costa for Raphinha, something we were all itching to see him do.

Costa sulked after getting dropped and did turn to shit, but he was holding his own in those opening games, three goals I think.

I rate Summerville and sad to see him go. When and how to release the ball , he'll learn in time . Potentially as good or better than Sterling imho. West ham got a bargain.
