Harvest None of the four players have travelled with the first-team squad for Leeds United’s pre-season tour of the USA, as they are either recovering from serious injuries or nearing permanent departures.
Transfer Group: Gelhardt & Ramazani
Daniel Farke left both players behind at Thorp Arch, signalling that they are not part of his plans for the upcoming Premier League season:Joe Gelhardt: Leeds are actively looking to sell Gelhardt, slapping a £3 million asking price on the forward. He spent last season on loan at Hull City, helping them secure promotion. While Hull boss Sergej Jakirovic wants a reunion and Gelhardt prefers a return to the MKM Stadium, Hull have yet to submit a formal bid. His Premier League-level wages are currently causing a bottleneck in negotiations.
Largie Ramazani: He is considered "almost certain" to leave permanently. Ramazani spent last season on a highly productive loan spell with Valencia in La Liga, scoring 6 goals. Valencia's CEO Ron Gourlay has initiated talks to bring him back to the Mestalla permanently, but a gap remains in valuation. Leeds want to recoup a large chunk of their initial £10 million outlay, especially due to a 15% sell-on clause owed to Almería
Injury Group: Joseph & Chambers
Both prospects were omitted from the USA flight purely due to medical rehab:
Mateo Joseph: His progress was cruelly halted after suffering an ACL injury. Leeds had made him available for transfer following a difficult loan spell at RCD Mallorca, but his injury has shifted immediate plans. He remains at Elland Road to undergo a long period of rehabilitation.
Sam Chambers: The highly-rated Scotland youth international, who broke into the first team under Farke, is another notable absentee from the US tour. After enduring a stop-start year with recurring fitness issues, he missed the trip due to ongoing injuries and is focusing on recovery. He remains firmly under contract until 2028 as a long-term prospect for the club.
