Loose_Lips Honestly, there's not a lot too it. I hated Venables from the start. Apart from replacing O'Leary he was just the wrong man. He was a wide boy cheeky cockney who came with all the baggage, the dodgy deals and failed businesses, corruption, back handers etc. An absolute crook. He brought in that cunt Max Clifford on a million a year, no idea what he was meant to be doing but we were paying him. As above he fucked off two greatest players to ever wear a white shirt in Dacourt and Yeboah. He put Okon in Dacourt's place with the strict instruction that he must never leave the centre circle unless there's a fire
Anyway, we'd lost a match. I expect Okon had played and Barmby probably. I was in the kop back then. Very much in drink I walked past the East Stand and he was already outside, five minutes after the match, fuck knows why. So I starting hurling as many insults as I could slur and I was quickly joined by all the other pissed off fans. Then I was suddenly in a jog. My pointing finger had developed into a fist and I was ten yards away from the former England manager and dodgy fucker, Terry Venables. Then I was close enough to see that he was looking uncomfortable and I swung an arm but got nowhere near him thankfully. Then stewards were involved and loads of fans were argy-bargying and that was it really.
