Maybe if we sacked all these scouts (that seemingly do fuck all) we could afford to pay wages for some of these players we keep getting gazumped from "massive" clubs by!
Or perhaps Bates wises up and realises that the wages he's (supposedly) offering are being bettered by tin pot clubs who might well finish higher than us but won't ever be bigger than us. Whoopee do on that score.
I think the days of quality players desperately wanting to play for Leeds before wondering about wages and security etc are long gone. 'Someone' seems to be deterring players from signing for Leeds - it might be the chairman, it might not, but I feel pretty sure it won't be the influence of Williams or Merv the Swerve.
