Bazball can work. However you have to temper it. it can't work all the time.
I'd argue it worked at Edgbaston. it created an exciting game and we nearly won. I'm not bothered we lost that game.
However this game it has not worked. And we needed to adapt to that - we didn't. We were 181 - 1 and Lyon was being carted off the field. Root should still be batting now. We wont win this game and then a serious mountain to climb and they can just defend.
For me it is a balance - if it is on go for it - if not it has to be old school test tactics.
