For reasons I will never know I have started catching the odd Paddy McGuiness with the Scholes and Butt.
Awful.
Really quite terrible. They talk about their favourite sandwiches a lot.
However, every now and again you get real insight. Scholes is the driest, simplest man of all time. And I mean that in the nicest way possible. Butt is actually quite sharp and articulate.
They both got talking about how certain conditions and situations would have been handled by Fergusson compared to what's going on today.
Scholes at one point basically admits to being terrified every day that he played for Man U. Not exactly in those clear words but you could tell what he was getting at.
The gut wrenching fear of failing. He said he struggles to remember parts of it. Sounded like he has PTSD from it all.
