So Main Source featuring Large Professor eh? With a runway that takes in hip-hop and music production. Scratches chin...

Large Professor's real name is William (Paul) Mitchell. Madlib has explicitly named Large Professor as one of his primary hip-hop influences, alongside other legends like Marley Marl and Paul C. Furthermore, Madlib sampled Large Professor on his Medicine Show No. 13.

Now, 'Sound Ancestors' by Madlib, was produced by Four Tet. And in 2017, Four Tet released the 'New Energy' Album, which contained the song SW9 9SL.

SW9 9SL, is the postcode for the Brixton Academy venue. The Smiths' final concert was at the Brixton Academy, and the last song heard by the audience was 'Hand In Glove'.

A cover version of 'Hand In Glove' was released by Sandie Shaw, featuring messrs Marr, Rourke & Joyce. The name 'Sandie Shaw' is an anagram of 'NASA wished', and the word/term 'NASA' features in the Ian Brown song 'My Star' (NASA corrupters, jewelled abductors...).

That very same song also features the lyric 'Lust for Space Dust', and in the 1950's, a man called William Mitchell, whilst working for General Foods Corporation, invented what was to become known (in 1976) as Space Dust Candy.

Another man called William Mitchell, a highly regarded musician and record producer down in Memphis, Tennessee, (working with artists such as Al Green, Syl Johnson and Ann Peebles), hired a drummer, initially for his own band, named Al Jackson Jr.

Not only was Al Jackson Jr. known as 'The Human Timekeeper', he also co-wrote songs with Al Green ('Let's Stay Together' for instance). He was a session drummer for amongst others Elvis Presley and he was the first Stax session musician to be on a weekly salary.

I first noticed him musically in the famous instrumental 'Southern Soul' band Booker T. & The M.G.'s.

In 1969, Booker T. & The M.G.'s. released the single 'Time Is Tight'. And here are some French fillies dancing to this*.

*Actually, whilst the video appears to be showing 'Time Is Tight', it's actually a 1968 broadcast from the ORTF Studios in Paris, of 'Green Onions', later overdubbed with the Time Is Tight' track.

But I've always liked pert, dark-haired lasses dancing with a bit of style.

That bassist is Duck Dunn. Cool name huh...
