Cooley Found out last night that Michael Medwin died last month. I liked him. He played Eddie Shoestring’s boss, and was in loads of films in the 1960’s.
zico CBIT Shouldn t really say this, but pity he didn`t pop off in the first quarter of 75. He officiated the game at Hampden against Celtic, but I can t blame that one on him.
Placid Ive still got most my Asterix books. Good innings and what a talent. Where I got my interest in ancient history and satire all in one comic book at a time.
Travis_Bickle Bought them for the eldest as we'd booked to go to Parc Asterix and thought she needed some context. They're brilliant books. Always liked Lucky Luke too.
Kevin_Stapleton Asterix books always plenty of value in rereading - lots of detail and humour you missed first time around.
