Death List 2026

l.q.navarro.

His live performance at Ronnie Scotts which is on YouTube, is fucking brilliant !

Cooley

I wouldn’t know a good guitarist from a great one. Much like drumming and every other fucking instrument I care to mention. All that look-at-me-aren’t-I-wonderful bollocks gets on my wick. Having said that I did like it when little Prince did his thing at the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame years ago. Audacity That was some solo.

Under-the-ground

It’s wierd innit? What makes a good musician / soloist. It’s so personal. I didn’t mean to be disrespectful, but there are those who probably who love Jeff beck’s playing.
When it comes to musicians I still love mark knopflers playing. Telegraph road from alchemy still makes me dewy eyed nearly 40years since I first heard it.

Still to those who do like him . Sorry to hear your news today

90Piesanhour

Sad news, but I can't get past that god awful 'Hi Ho, Silver Lining' bollocks when I hear his name. The anthem of student discos in the 70s and 80s.

Travis_Bickle

Under-the-ground Seeing Knopfler play is like watching a man thinking about having a wank...😉

Travis_Bickle

Jeff Beck, Rod, Ronnie Wood and the genius that was Micky Waller on drums. I'd have loved to have seen this lot play back then.

Cooley

Lisa Marie Presley. 54.

Placid

Some right Bobby Dazzlers and cool kids in this..

Under-the-ground

Cooley that was sad news. Shame she didn’t stick to the singing and stayed on the path.
She did a stunning job with Richard hawley

Tatjana Patitz, 54, cancer, she was gorgeous x

king_of_the_slums

This one really hurts, Yukihiro Takahashi, 70, drummer & one third of Yellow Magic Orchestra and one half of Sketchshow and original drummer in The Sadistic Mika Band. Genius. 💔

oneallanclarke

king_of_the_slums Sad news indeed. He recorded a mini-album with Wakefield's finest Bill Nelson back in 1983. My then girlfriend, who was the one who introduced me to YMO, played it lots.Listening to it now, today, is bittersweet

Also this brilliant, sweet and funny moment here with YMO and Japanese superstars Gen Hoshino, Rie Miyazawa and Kiko Mizuhara from NHK New Year's Eve a few years ago:

😞 Bill ended up marrying his first wife. I surprisingly had a coffee with them at Pizza Express, Leeds - a week after sitting next to Sakamoto before his concert at Sadler’s Wells!

oneallanclarke

Sardine-Tree Blimey, I didn't know that

king_of_the_slums

I did know that about Bill Nelson and his first wife.

Steve Jansan's twitter page is full of ace photos from the time of his collaborations, seems like they had a great relation. https://twitter.com/istevejansen

Kevin_Stapleton

Gina Lollobrigida. 95 - decent knock(ers)

Cooley

Speaking of which, old Loren must be knocking on a bit. Unless she’s dead as well.

Harvest

David Crosby ☹️

"Forgive me if my fantasies might seem a little shopworn.."

Can't beat that for an opening line..
