So, the lad's been sent off on his first bike industry jolly up. To Italy. For a 2016 bike launch of trail/enduro/ downhill bikes. He had his bikes prepared to his spec, yesterday, by team mechanics. Today he's riding a 5 hour enduro with Nigel Page and former world downhill champ Sam Hill, amongst others.Apparently, this is called working.:/

Oh, he's ridden the Spline. Says it's mint. Barney has to give it back soon but loves it so much that he was willing to buy it. Taking into account the fact that it's got a custom paint job, the "mates rates" price is £1100!!!! He's declined.

Bought myself a road bike a couple of weeks, and went mad on my first ride and rode way too far. Had a big energy drop, and managed to fall off at a junction because I couldn't get my feet out the pedals. Decided I need to build up a bit slower, this morning did a flat slow 17 miles. I'm no Chris froome but I loved it. The hail storm and trying to get round the flooded river Ouse made it fun.Aiming to do the coast to coast over two days next summer with some more accomplished riders from the village, although I feel a long way off it right now.
