Saw that. We had wire across the Shibden downhill.

RHS's - got a '98 Pine Mountain in the garage. Use it as a shopping bike - it's got a rack on the back. Had it since new but now has a British Racing Green paint job, courtesy of Bob Jackson's and a rigid carbon fork.

Done on a 'stock' Mondraker apparently. Mentally quick. I've done over 50mph on the road and s*** myself. Twice that? On rough terrain? Nutter
Sunset_&_Vine
I start panicking about 35mph, and desperately hoped I could just hold on at my record 42mph. Not sure I have the bottle to go any quicker.

Too right Travis!Fifty two mph, dropping down off Fleets Moss. Thinking about what would happen if a sheep ran into the road

Same stretch for me YMAT. Good fun in the dry. F***ing nightmare when it's wet....
Smutty_Lips
55 KmPH down a short hill outside Los Barrios, was a tad concerned but also driving the legs to try and push it a little higher, knowing deep down it was safe as houses.
Cuts
No idea how fast I've gone but the front wheel wobbling convinced me I'm happier struggling up hills these days than flying down them.

Loose arms is the key. Sounds daft but staying relaxed means you deal with bumps in the road etc better

So I am slowly getting bitten by the bike bug......The bike I had previously that "suited me why would I change it" is now soon to be replaced.......Anyone had a spin on one of these? Looks good for the price and I wouldn't be spending over the £1000 mark at this stage. Any other recommendations at that price?http://www.bikeradar.com/mtb/gear/article/best-mountain-bikes-under-1000-45346/
