Good effort. Haven't ridden on the road in weeks. My partner in crime got hit by a car at Stump Cross. Been off work with concussion. Quite worrying. Felt okay after a week or so. Went back and started talking gibberish. Sent him home and he was signed off again. She said she 'didn't see him'. He was in a cycle lane and she pulled out of a side road. If you know the bit of road you know she wasn't fucking looking!
Cuts
Which I why I'm thinking of getting a mountain bike.
Cleaned the bike up, new lube, new brake pads, bar tape. Got out about half an hour ago. Heavens opened. Just mashed it for half an hour. Soaked, sweaty and heart pounding in my chest like a steam hammer. Legs like jelly. Feels strangely good.
Hope your mate's ok and well done with the nipper. Three kids bikes in our basement gathering dust.

She rode steeper stuff at 7 than I did when I first started MTBing. Then rode the road for a bit. She did really well on some busy ones. Towpath for a bit and then back to the park. Got home and she wanted to go to the tennis courts near the house to practice signalling to turn (which became how long can I ride with one hand and then none) and 'corners'.
My work here is done.......

I've not had a bike for a few years after I got rid of the road bike as my knees had sorted themselves out and I was back running but they are buggered again.
I fancy something cool and straightforward to ride on Canals. I am rather excited. Plus I alos found an old BMX track near my house I might have a spin on.
I did the Halfordscycle2work scheme jobbie - £34 a month for a year.
