Didn't get there. Have had the most horrendous viral infection for the last week and still feel like shit.
On a brighter note, I've just taken delivery of a Cateye Volt 1700 , for night road riding. Jesus it's bright.

Went out last Sunday on the MTB. First time back in Elland Woods for a while. Forgotten just how blessed we are to have trials like that practically on the doorstep. Grinning like an idiot at the end of the descent.

New front derailleur and recable. Took 20 minutes and shifts perfectly. What are the odds that when I'm 15 miles from home, the whole thing will explode? :/

I can confirm that everything works perfectly. Just been up to Whinlatter for a coffee and back. Downside is that it is pissing down. The road is closed to traffic but bikes can get through.

I love how the UCI are the same as all the other infectual governing bodies.

Sock lengths. I'd be extremely keen to see the finances on that in relation to aqua Blue going bust for example.

Another night ride. Both batteries died. Luckily my mate had a spare. Then the bar mount kept slipping which meant hurtling down trails only for it to seem like someone had turned the lights off. That'll test your nerve. As will two bulls running out of the pitch black when you're halfway down a track. A bit of everything tonight. Slippy as hell but great fun. Loving these Saturday night rides. Got back just in time for Stacey Dooley mind......

He didn't tell us his mates were hiding round the corner.....

The lad's just got a couple of 130mm, 29Er full bouncers to test. A GT and a Trek. He's been throwing the GT around Leeds Bike Park this afternoon and is very impressed, so far.

Sky to end sponsorship of Team Sky at the end of 2019.

So Lappiertie (sp) will get his wish to even things up a bit in the peoloton - can't see anyone else willing to pump that sort of money in.

Also makes next years Tour interesting. Froome will never have a team like that again to support him but I suspect Thomas could - so who will win it if they both go for another Tour win?

The picture is the full bells and whistles version. I'm going for Mavic Ksyrium Elite wheels (alloy). Don't fancy ploughing round the Lakes on posh carbon ZIPP hoops. Will also have Continental GP 5000's. To, ahem, keep costs down, I'm speccing a 105 hydro group set - which to all intents and purposes is similar to the 6800 Ultegra on me CAAD 10, minus the hydraulic brakes, like.
DI 2 Ultegra upgrade next year..............all in my mind, of course.
To make this more of a pipedream, the fucking washing machine decided to die, horribly, t'other day. That's a decent wheelset, that is. :(
