😆 I'd completely forgotten about The Seahorses when I typed that, how strange. Big black hole in my memory. I think that his gak habit in the 90s probably shaped a lot of the reported behaviour. Yeah he did exceptionally well financially out of those few years of comeback gigs. I don't begrudge any of them that money. They were a massive part of my life in my late teens and 20s. I was disappointed and bored of the whole reformation thing ultimately though.
I knew a lad from my local when I lived in Manchester who taught down at his kid's school in Cheshire and met him at parents evenings. He said he was very inanimate and barely present. That's not saying much though, I'm the same at these things. Apparently after one such event he said to his daughter the next day in class, "Christ you're dad's a boring get isn't he?" and she rolled her eyes.
I dunno, I'm just getting less judgemental of people these days. We're all a bit complex and contradictory to some degree aren't we? We're just not in the public eye to be scrutinised as much. He's just another flawed human.
