Anchor Travis_Bickle In possibly the greatest football shirt ever made. Can you ask him if he still has it and if so can he give it to me. Thankyouplease
Jon Mike_Jones Wasn’t Charlton who wanted the white stripe on the shirt? I’ve probably got that wrong.
Mike_Jones Nah - a knock-off B&Q sponsor and those chevrons along the shoulder? Can't beat the 70s fuckoff collars. And "6 foot 2, eyes of blue, Stuart Boam is after you..."
Travis_Bickle Mike_Jones Remember him from Mark's debut season in '78-79. Went to a few matches at Ayresome Park before he signed for Forest. Playing Leeds on Boxing Day '79 sticks in the memory. We watched the away fans more than the game. I have a memory of being stood behind the old man and my uncles either before or after the match by some houses near the ground as they were scrapping in the street. One of my uncles lived a couple of streets away at the time. I think that was the Boxing Day game, long time ago though.
Jon Mike_Jones Something to do with looking up and seeing that flash of white and been able to spot a team mate.
white_dragon Jon Did well there big Jack , won div.2 at a canter 73/74 . I started going quite often 74/75 , boro had possibly the biggest away following at ER that season.
Mike_Jones hendersonjones Not these Dickens, it was a local DIY emporium in the Boro, on a par with a more recent sponsor, Harry Ramsden's
Cooley Harvest If he have landed on his knob, maybe it would have cushioned the impact and he’d have survived the plane crash. 😟
