A strange film and story line.
2 rural men one in his 60's the other in his 30's/40's are mates and the older one refuses to talk to the other one without any say of why.
The film unfolds around this relationship but is as much about the beauty of the landscape and the austere lives of the people who live there than the actual plot.
A strange film with not much of a conclusion as an end but it's one of those that stays with you. Mainly because of the bizarre story but for me the landcape. It's utterly beautiful and makes want to go there.
Took me 2 sittings to watch it. Started watching with the wife and eldest lad, they bailed early.
Someone with better understanding of these things will experess this better than me but it felt like an exsitential classic similar to an Albert Camus book or French cinema. For that reason I enjoyed it.
