Apparently JK was a ‘fill in’ due to the passing of Mike Peters.
There was a film of Futurama 2, @Young_Marxist_at_Tescos correct me if I’m wrong, you’ll have probably been there, so you’ll know 😃
Followed by JK providing a potted history of his gig promoting career across all of the different venues, punctuated by anecdotes. He spoke fondly of his band encounters with notable exceptions for Courtney Love, Paris Angels, and some Tour Managers.
One stand out highlight was Curtis Mayfield and band’s only rider request being proper Yorkshire fish and chips and they wanted to eat it out of newspaper.
Ended with a Q&A session.
The whole event was off the cuff but that certainly didn’t diminish it, what shone through was JK’s enthusiasm, passion and love for music and what he does. Enjoyable evening.
Looking forward to the mentioned and promised Futurama evening.
