otis Did you enjoy it though (the concert that is). Managed to get to into Cuthbert Brodricks by 5:40pm. Left at around 8pm after consuming 6 bottles of Corona, 2 Gin and Tonics and a burger. Missed most (all but 2) of the Mondays set which I was pissed off about. Bloke next to me, Les Miserable, said 'well thats an hour of my life I will never get back'.
Thought James were the usual excellent selfs. A good set list as well. needed a piss half way through when one of the slow songs came on (which I like) and heard loads in the toilets moaning they had slowed it down. Let's all yawn. it's called mixing it up. Very disconcerting having a piss though when the bloke in the trough next to me was having a hands free piss. Hands free so he could type double handed on his phone.
'Getting away with it' has poignant memories for me as it was the song I stuck on my car after seeing my dad for the last time. But I thought they did an amazing version of 'Sound' as well.
Only very very slight criticism of the set list was the encore. Sit Down and Laid. Sit Down has been played to death and Laid not far behind it. I know they like mixing it up (one of the big attractions of seeing James live is that they do individual set lists) and have dropped 'Sometimes' recently so its not like that ar afraid to remove popular songs.
Must say that lass on percussion is a tidy number. So is the new lass they have got on vocals and guitar.
All in all a good night. Mrs H bought a James Hoodie outside, we went back to Cuthberts, had another drink, swore at the rip off that is called Uber as the taxi fair rose from £14 to nearly £30 in 10 minutes and walked into Leeds and got a Taxi home.
A good night was had.
