Went to Bruce Springsteen in Hyde park last night. Just home . Had a parking space and hotel booked in Paddington. Drove down with my daughter, her husband and my step daughter. All went swimmingly. Only caught the back of Frank turner set ,what we seen was good. Then , The Chicks , easy on the eye and nice bit of country rock .
Then Bruce and the E Street band. Tremendous as usual , even better with the horn section and backing singers. 3 hours of some of his 50 year career , good set list , there are always some songs I would of liked , but he'd of been on all night to satisfy me totally. Step daughters first Bruce show and she loved it.
I like Hyde park as a venue and staying in Paddington is ideal, short walk up and down, couple more beers and fish and chips , rounded the night off. Wish I had a few more quid , I'd of stayed and done Billy Joel tonight and Bruce again on Saturday.
