Waxahatchee tonight at the Irish Centre, sell out crowd, absolutely rammed. I think I can safely say that this is the first gig that me and Mrs Harvest (that's her real name) have attended together - she's more Kylie. She watched from the back on this kind of raised bench bit and had an ace view.
Hour and a half set, so good, ace sound. Saw her in Manchester last year at HJ's installment, solo set, very serence. This was full on with a five piece band backing her. She uses her voice so well and hits some real high soulful/countryish/folky notes. Crowd was good, barely any knobheads talking between songs, sweaty as fuck Piece of piss to get served. Katie would be a national treasure if she was British. Home in 15 mins. Mrs Harvest (real name) enjoyed it it seems. I've sat through a ballet and two musicals in the last couple of years, so 3-1 for now.
