I might be doing some of this walking malarkey this weekend, near Cark and Cartmel.
Any OMJ insight or tips on this area....could be nice vistas of note or maybe even which pub to get good Sausage and Mash with gravy after a 3 hour ramble.

Flaneur Eldest daughter and husband are big fans of L'Enclume/Simon Rogan. Never been, myself but the Pig and Whistle is decent.
Michelin stars aren't the be all and end all, to my mind, though. Saying that, Forest Side in Grasmere and Cottage in the Wood at Winlatter are very good.
