Tonight I had a walk round Saltillo city centre .
Saltillo was a dangerous place 10 years ago .
It’s now the second safest place in Mexico after Mex City.
I saw no litter ,no graffiti ,no protests ,No gangs or anti social behaviour of any type .
The centre was full of families ,couples, kids, babies ,dog walkers and exercisers .
At 9pm there was an outdoor dance school in the Central Park ,all ages taking part .
People on the street relaxing with some food and drink .
There was a tap dancing lesson going on in the main square with about 30 people .
The playground was full of kids having fun .
The whole centre was relaxed with a good vibe
Girls seemed comfortable being out on their own in city centre park ,dog walking .
I didn’t see one police at all .
I very nice and eye opening experience .
Thoroughly enjoyed it but made me realise just how bad our city centres are .
Shops were all open ,no security needed .
The Mexican guy I was with (from another city) was equally impressed, it’s not the same in every city here ,his shuts down at 7pm at night as it’s not safe .
Anyway …So far definitely a place I could live
