Truly a sign of middle age when, discussing the quality of drugs on a trip to Amsterdam, you're referring to travel sickness tablets...

My 2nd trip there . Went last year when the Ryder Cup was on . It was a bit quieter this year. There was a northern soul week on in a hotel a mile up the road . We had a couple nights at it . It’s not cheap , about £600 , flights, transfers every day , buggies and hotel.

A lot of the lads love it but I never really got on with any of the courses up there (it was just North and South when I started going.....), probably cos I'm shit and was usually still half cutI've put a few balls into the flats on the first Par 3 at Santa Maria (Hole 4?), it was a;ways a nice track but found it to be pretty slow goingSanta Clara we added to the list later on - liked it although (for me) there was nothing that made it stand outTorrequebrada is a nice track if the condition is OK - we used to stay at The Flatotel next door in the early years. Tonnes of golf round there - makes for a good time with the plentiful bars and restaurants

Was in the local minor injuries unit this morning. Couldn't post because these places are always lead lined or something to stop phone signals. I spent 40 minutes driving around cashpoints to get some money to pay for my parking. Only took me 20 minutes to get seen. Then found out they've installed a new ticket machine that takes cards.Fucking broken rib. Hurts when I cough.

Sat in a boozer in Bamburgh with a nice cool Guinness looking out of the window facing the castle which is bathed in glorious evening sunshine.
