Very fussy these charity shops. Still in the process of clearing my folks house out. Given about 50 bags of clothes away and also the non woodchip ikea furniture. But one charity came round and turned its nose up at a bookshelf thing. Solid wood it was but had a water ring mark on it. Wouldnt accept it would polish out. And they ummed and rrrr'd over a £3 grand table and chairs which was in immaculate condition.

And I cant get rid of a reclining 3 seater and 2 seater sofa set because my old man had it reupholstered and they didnt stick the bloody fire sticker back on.

Most the stuff will end up ion a skip now. What a waste

I've almost given up on charity shops - just take the mick it seems.

I was in one in Church Stretton the other week - clocked a pair of Rapha Cycling gloves for a MTB (I think) and I thought to myself 'here we go' I could have these for a song and punt 'em on ebay.

Who goes into a charity shop to spend fifty snots on anything!!!!!!!!!

Its the same with vinyl, used to be a goldmine but theh have caught on, silly prices now. Oxfam have dedicated music shops now in some towns

Bod Yeah - it is a joke. 12" of a mass produced 80's single with a £10 price tag on it - at least google discogs for a better ball park figure.

I would not even pay £10 for an 80's album - let alone a 12" of fucking Mel and Kim or summat.

It winds me up as the proifit margin re the stock is 100% so why take te piss and the reason for charity shops in many ways is to help people a bit is it not?

Heyho, try Freecycle, you get some Polish dude to come round and take it off your hands, no skip required. They can get a grand piano in a '92 Micra.

One fella told me he was pretty much furnishing a flat for nish.

Once had a doctor come from Knaresborough for topsoil and turf.

I still have mine from the early 80s - a blue Sony. Got some right hammer.

Harvest I had a red Sony one with a little three band graphic equaliser on the side. Very rudimentary. Loved it.
