All games televised, with significant free-to-air exposure
This bit for me piqued my interest. it is one of the main issues around the decline the game IMHO.Be good - any mention of the eight cities anywhere?I guessBirminghamLondonNottinghamManchesterLeedsBristolNewcastlecardiff
Good shout on the citiesThe issue is how the current counties feel they're being represented. I know each will have a minimum of 1.3million reasons to buy into the 'project' but, as a nation, we're very parochialI guess the driver for the cities will be how much capital each franchise can generate. For example, if someone down at The Rose Bowl chucks £20M on the table (guaranteed) then expect to see some games in Southampton. I'm sure sustainability of soltuion will be spoken about but hard cash usually wins

^^^ Ha Ha Ha - I did think of Scotland but they are shit at cricket.I think this could go down that whole US franchise route. So the Bristol Bashers are sold and bought by a Billionaire from Southampton who renames and moves them to 'ampshire and calls them the Southampton sloggers.Or something.

Thought we looked OK until Lyth gave his wicket awayI know he got 70-odd but the commentators were predicting the exact way he would be out from his 30s - slashing outside off on the up. He'd already given 2 chances which were spilled. He was in, knocking 1s and 2s and keeping his end going is all he needed to doStill, as Chopper says, I don't think any other county would be able to cope with losing 5 first teamers as well as we've doneLet's see who gets picked for today's England team - and who might have been released for yesterdays game........
