Failed it.
I cannot, and he cannot, explain what has happened. How he can be classified for the last 14 years, within the boundaries and now he is de-classified. He must have always been in the margins of classification?
He's coming home, we're having a Chinese, we won't ask questions, we'll just see what tumbles out.
This could be the end of his International career. You wouldn't have thought that the Management Team would settle for a 50/50 call, or probably a 10/90 call on him being allowed to play again for them. He could be a distraction. I'm wondering if there is another role for him. He's a Masters qualified physiotherapist.
It's the sole focus of his life right now, what he eats, how and when he trains. He's off travelling to Bali, Thailand, Australia and New Zealand in a few weeks. Maybe the Australian lifestyle may 'snare' him as it does for so many others. But he has a house to move into when he gets back in January.
I don't even know if he can play for a standard disability team, though him and his England partially sighted has larruped many sighted teams, which is always fun to watch.
I'm bumbling away here, but thanks for your kind words.
