Park run in 27:22 today!
Travis_Bickle
My Abbey Dash number came in the post today. Went for a run and did 10k in just over an hour. Happy with that. Hadn't planned on running, I'm going to Leeds Bike Park tomorrow, not sure I'll manage any actual pedalling......

Just under 5 miles tonight. Fell over last Sunday and turned my ankle. First time back out. Hadn't planned on being out long but it felt good so kept going. Mrs did one of those couch to 5k things a weeks ago now she's doing over 15 miles a week. Shit, we're being one of those couples. It'll be matching Montane gillets in the Q3 listening to Elbow next......

3.40 is a class time Dan. Pure class.

Yeah - cheers. I was 39 and fit although, like most things, had not trained properly. I think 3.30 was in reach. I remember sitting by the trent having a tab just before the start and another bloke came over and joined me, "what the fuck are we doing" Not sure if he meant the marathon or the fag!still remember the endorphins that floated around for days after. I do also remember this other bloke at about 18 miles who was dead on his feet, just ran into a hedge. Gone on his feet.My only marathon. I'd like to think i could do another but doubt it.you done one?

6.7 miles on Wednesday night. Felt great. Could have done another couple I reckon but had to be back. Love the fact I can just run for an hour or so. Definitely good for the head....

oh man - how good for the head. it is my eternal quandary. I know just how good it is - a real cleanser of the soul and a way to real mental health benefits, sleep solutions and I've heard it makes your penis at least 12" on the slack. Yet I ignore it.I have run for 35 plus years regularly but now,the last five years, when I need it so to speak, I cant get a rhythm with it at all. WHY? Something I genuinely enjoy.

Nice going Trav. Not a fan of night running when the dark nights are around. For me the enjoyment is bring out in the open enjoying the surroundings on some trail or quiet road.Winter time invariably means bring restricted to the busy, lit up main roads which I can't stand.Until the lighter nights return I'm running first thing every Saturday and Sunday and then begrudgingly run a shortish one midweek just to keep things ticking over.

Did a four this morning. Awful.42 minutes. Weird how you can feel strong one day and rubbish a few days later.

Been running on the treadmill at the gym recently. Bang early on a morning before work. May as well on the days when I don't do school drop off as my daughter is always up before 6 anyway. Alarmed myself this week though. Was doing that thing where for a couple of minutes you up the pace and put it on an incline then drop back to a steady pace. After the up bit I checked my hear rate and it wasn't far off 200bpms. I looked it up afterwards and that's not good for someone my age. Felt ace though. Stooges on the mp3 - "I'm loose". I always feel a bit high after a run.

Managed another couple this week. 3 and 4 miles. Hopefully run tomorrow night. Really feeling the benefits when I'm on the bike. I'm talking on climbs as opposed to gasping.

Park run in 27.03 today. Fastest yet! Mind you, it was sooooo cold you HAD to run fast. First time I've finished and not been any warmer!
Travis_Bickle
A couple of 4 and 5 mile runs and did just over 6 miles on Wednesday. Wanted to be out today but it was too f***ing cold and too f***ing wet. Tomorrow. Maybe....
