Precinct_Boy CharlieG Took me 2 hours 15 last year no head wind or fuck all in fact a lovely day, and believe it or not it was my personal best time !
90Piesanhour Keighley 10k in 58.22 this morning. Pleased with that, considering it's my first 10k. Also raised £125.50 in sponsorship. https://www.sueryder.org/support-us/fundraise/events/manorlands-keighley-bigk-10k-5k-2019 Little update on this, for those who are interested. I've got the official results, which show that I finished 427th out of 837 runners and the time, according to the chip I wore in my number, was 58:08, which is even better! Anchor Nice one. I bought some of them Hoka One One running shoes. They look fucking ridiclious but eff me - how comfortable! I did a 40 minute run on Friday in them. Ace. Proper bobby dazlers!
Travis_Bickle Out last night. 5 and a half miles. Hadn't run all week. One of those when you don't really feel like it at the start but are glad you did it at the end.
Anchor I did 5.5 on the tread mill yesterday. I hate treadmills but can see the benefits - well my knees do. My issue - I feel like I am tanking it on a treadmill but only clocking 11 minte miles!
Precinct_Boy Doing Sheffield half on Sunday, just hoping to finish this, training was going well then got a chest infection so bit off target with my build up. The 5 mile hill up to the peak dustrict might do me in.
space I've fallen into the pattern of six days a week doing 15 minutes on the bike, 15 on the cross trainer and 15 on a treadmill. Yesterday I got 10 minute into the treadmill bit and something popped in my knee. I can't walk without crying now and I'm sure I never used to be able to feel my pulse in my knee before.
Raposa Up early this morning and did 5.5 miles. Wasn't feeling it to be honest and from 3 miles in all I could think about was getting back home. Works like that sometimes. Good luck Sunday PB.
CharlieG My knees are both fucked, secondary to osteoarthritis and slight bow leggedness. So I'm booked in for this -
Precinct_Boy Finished in 2 hours 22 minutes which i am happy with, the hill wasn't as bad as i expected. Still think Bradford was harder.
Anchor I've done four runs in the last week or so. Two over nine miles and the other six and eight. Suffice to say, I feel healthy. I'm drinking now mind.
Raposa Anchor Some going that Dan....that's the sort of mileage your half or even full marathon runners look to get in during training. These days I'm more than happy to do 20 or so miles a week in.
Travis_Bickle Ran last night. Mountain bike tonight. I walked to the fridge for beer upon my return. Like Douglas Bader.....
