Anchor I've had a dodgy hamstring so just easing myself back in - fairly pleasant urban 3 miles last night listening to Craven Faults. No pics.
Travis_Bickle Middle-aged injuries update. Been using the Corsa my old man gave us when he packed in driving. It's tiny and a manual. And it's f***ed my knee! I'm back in my tank now, hopefully it seems like it's sorting itself. Half-mararthon next month. Managed 4 miles last night after a few days off and it's not too bad today....
Precinct_Boy Good luck LL & TB with the Manchester, i was supposed to be doing that until the Humber Bridge one messed me up. Havent run since but plan on doing the Armley steps next week & take it from there.
Travis_Bickle Just done 10.2 miles. Over 1000ft of climbing. F***ing hilly round here. Knackered. But happy....
Loose_Lips Travis_Bickle top work. I have done zero training but back to it on Sunday when I'm home. I can rattle of 10K in under a 2 hr half marathon time. Its the second 10k that will get me. No beer and plenty of runs I reckon I'll get round. I think....
Travis_Bickle Loose_Lips The legs and lungs aren't too bad. It's all the middle-aged stuff. Right knee is playing up, my slipped disc means everything's out of line so my left shoulder tightens up with every mile I run. I'm careful not to push too hard and make a point of relaxing. Well that's my excuse for looking like a slack-jawed fool when I run....
Raposa Travis_Bickle Haven't run for over s fortnight now due to a dodgy knee and it's all self inflicted! Found my old weights in the shed so thought I'd start back with the squats to try and build my thighs up for the longer runs. Fucked my right knee up. The weights are in the local tip now and I'm playing a fucking waiting game so that I can get back out running again!
Precinct_Boy Managed to do the Armley steps x10 on Wednesday, can barley walk today but at least im back on it .
Raposa 3.6 miles , no adverse affect. Taps head "use your fucking noggin next time Raposa you old cunt!"
Travis_Bickle 13.6 miles this morning. Drove into work and then ran up the canal to Rodley and back. 2 hours 20 minutes. Happy with that having turned 50 on Tuesday. Feel okay. Getting out of bed tomorrow might be interesting.....
Precinct_Boy Travis_Bickle Decent going that in this weather 👏. Not my favourite place to run down there, too many bikes & dogs for my liking.
Anchor A very lugubrious four miler last night - will try again later. Nice work TB - did you keep going all the way?
fuzzy To the scumbags who stole my running shoes and hi viz running vest out of my car - You can run but you can't hide!
Travis_Bickle Ran all the way. Only stopped for a quick Strava photo at Rodley. Was working in chambers so had plenty of time. Listened to The Today Programme. Good to run to tbh. Ran to Granary Wharf and then through City Square at the end to make sure I did enough miles. Weather was perfect for it.
