fuzzy Had a weird dream in the week where two big stripey mackerel had crawled into the kitchen from the back door and were shuffling across the floor so I grabbed a sweeping brush and twatted them. So naturally I bought a couple of mackerel from the fish counter at big Tescos this morning. Baking them with garlic, lemon and fresh rosemary. Doing cous cous with grated lemon zest in it and tender stem broccers. Big up the OMJ oily fish massive 👊 👊
CharlieG No idea what to call this but it's got chicken and paprika sausages, onions, mushrooms, yellow peppers and brown lentils in a (chefs own) tomato and sweet chilli sauce. Served with flat breads.
90Piesanhour Heck sausages are great. The chicken ones are good in risotto or chopped in to 'meatball' sized portions with spaghetti.
space I tried Heck sausages and found that the lack of fat made them dry if you wanted to use them as, you know, sausages. Not considered using them cut up in recipes though so I may revisit.
Mike_Jones white_dragon 70s evening at ours later . Prawn cocktail Steak Diane Lemon meringue pie Missing a bottle of mataus rose though. That's a great idea! Alternatives - scampi- or chicken-in-a-basket, Black Forest gateau, Blue Nun to wash it down. All sophisticated n that.
Harvest Just waiting for an Indian takeaway. It's the lad's birthday, his choice. I could always choose on my birthday when I was kid and inevitably it was tinned hot dogs. God knows why.
CharlieG Jerk style chicken and black bean curry. Leaving it to "fester" for a few hours before serving with rice, mango chutney and lime wedges.
