We have fought for years to get our son help and trust me. It's not easy. The nights we've laid awake knowing he is in a psychotic episode and has the propensity to do something horrific. Thankfully he hasn't and is know medicated. However think Jack Nicholson in One Flew Over The Cuckoo's nest. Not nice seeing him like that however he is no longer dangerous.
This is a brain disease much like dementia. Not some airy fairy anxiety based issue. It's an illness. It fucks your brain up.
