I used to take about fifteen minutes to clean my football boots, the last part being applying Chelsea dubbin. What made it Chelsea I've no idea. I don't think my lad's cleaned his boots ever. I usually knock the mud off and give them a wipe.

Mink oil is good for keeping the leather in good nick. I’ve used Barbour wax on my shoes too.

Funny we're talking about dubbin, my last purchase was a tub of this.

Going to save a couple a pairs of Clarks with about 8 applies over the next couple of weeks.

Will smarten up my Mephisto and Jacoform as well.

I'm happy as a pig in shit with this stuff, a pile of old shoes and an old ripped up pillow case.

Apparently Sno-seal is better than either mink oil or dubbin for beeswax shoes. I also just got my latest pair of beeswax wallabee boots a month ago and intend to investigate and report back here.

A loaf of parkin from Greenhalges. Parkin can be a bit dry but this is as moist as an otter's pocket. Just had a slice with a chunk of Red Leicester. People on this side of the Pennines don't understand the old slice of cheese with certain types of cake practice. They know nowt.

fuzzy I had some Yorkshire Brack from Whitby, I had that with cheese, very nice, first time I'd tried cheese with a fruit cake, my missus thought it was very odd.

Had a look at the new +J range in Unqlo (Jill Sander), there's a nice wool chore jacket in this range but I am on a jacket diet this year. Bought some +J canvas kegs and a couple of standard Uniqlo flannels, always great value at 13 quid a pop.

king_of_the_slums @Harvest What's the sizing like with Uniqlo? Generally, I'm a large but with some, more fashion based, brands have to get XL.
